Discuss the statement "Ignorance is Bliss"

Do you agree/disagree with this statement?

what are your thoughts about it?

remember, respect people's opinions we're all adults here Smile

I think that sometimes we think it is easier to deal with something if we ignore it or choose to not get all the info on a topic/situation, but I think that it rarely works out as being easier. Just because we ignore something doesn't mean it goes away. I actually think that choosing to ignore something will usually backfire in your face because eventually it will catch up with you. Know what is going on with topics that impact you so you can make conscious and educated decisions about your life, especially if it is something you can change or influence yourself. It may be tough to deal with some stuff, but that is life and life sometimes sucks like that.

I definitely agree with Marisa as well. The only thing is that depending upon the situation, I think that the phrase should be changed to "denial is bliss".

"Ignorance is bliss", ummm i guess it depends on the people. Some people just cause themselves to be blind to what is around them. Even if the truth is dead smack in front of them they will still be ignorant to the outcome of it. As for weather it is bliss or not, well I dont' think so. It is best to know what is going on, esp if invovles you directly. I dont' like surprises or left upper cuts...rather be aware then denied.
